Dr. Yogesh Jadeja is a founder member and Director of the Bhuj based professional voluntary organization Arid Communities and Technologies (ACT) since 2004. He has designed, planned and implemented various watershed development projects, decentralized drinking water schemes and irrigation schemes across Kutch District, Gujarat. Prior to ACT, he was with another Bhuj based N.G.O Sahjeevan, where he was involved in technical research and management.
Dr. Jadeja is a PhD in Geology from the MS University of Baroda and holds a PG Diploma in Ecology and Environment from the Indian Insitute of Ecology and Environment, New Delhi. He was a member of the 12th Five Year Plan working group on sustainable groundwater management and is actively involved in training and capacity building within and outside academia. He has also carried out a Rapid Impact Assessment of the 2004 Tsunami hit Banda Aceh and Nagapattinam.
