Subsequent to constructing, testing and monitoring 2 Bamboo Polyhouses in Palghar District in the year 2020-21, the team @ CTARA IITBombay has now taken up work funded by the Maharashtra Bamboo Promotion Foundation (MBPF) to demonstrate the bamboo polyhouses in the Bhor and Velhe region of the Pune District, Maharashtra. On 8th Sept 2021, a Stake-holder Workshop was carried out in the presence of stakeholders such as Local farmers, Bamboo artisans and Action-agents on ground in Bhor-Velhe talukas of Pune District, Maharashtra. The event was conducted in the "Panchayat Samiti Hall", Bhor. The concerned BDOs  and Agriculture department officers were present. Chairman of MBFP, Shri Giriraj participated addressing the gathering in “online” mode. Total participants were 42. Team CTARA  IIT Bombay was represented by: Prof. Anand B. Rao, Prof. Charuchandra Korde, Mr Dnyaneshwar Sanap (Sr UNICEF fellow),  Saurabh Jharia (Jr UNICEF fellow) and Prof Narendra G. Shah. In the next one year, the  team of Saurabh Jharia and Dnyaneshar Sanap  will be associated with this "Bamboo-polyhouse" initiative from CTARA.
