Abstract:

The present study demonstrates the significant uses of different hydrosols in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and fragrances. And how small and marginal farmers may make an additional income by producing and selling various hydrosols utilising farm waste such as rose flowers, jasmine flowers, neem leaves, tulsi leaves, and ginger roots. The production of cow urine distillate is another use for solar hydrodistillation systems, in addition to its usage in the production of hydrosol. The pharmaceutical laboratories conducted tests on the extracted products, including rosewater, jasmine water, neem water, tulsi water, and cow urine distillate, to determine whether or not they were effective. An examination of the thermodynamics and chemical characteristics of the manufactured items reveals that they are of high quality and have the potential to be commercially successful. Following the achievement of promising outcomes, the solar hydrodistillers were built and distributed to various self-help groups to understand the economic potential of hydrodistillers and the products that were made utilising hydrodistiller equipment. The results of the economic analysis indicate that the products developed using solar hydrodistillers are economically feasible and provide a satisfactory profit for the self-help groups.
