After engaging in various projects which promote sustainability, I have developed a peculiar interest in the works of sustainable development and I wish to contribute for the same.

M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) | Study on Millets in Koraput- A Peep into Odisha Millet Mission (OMM) | [Nov.-Dec. 2018]
  • Explored the traditional agricultural practices of millets and the impact of interventions by Odisha Millet Mission (OMM) on the production of millets in 12 different villages in Kundra Block, Koraput District, Odisha through Field Visits, FGDs and interactions with different stalk holders
  •  Identified the policy and technical issues being faced by the farmers

  1. Understanding the Forest Fire Phenomenon in Maharashtra State

Field stay                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Directed Research1: Tapping Value Chain of Agricultural commodity | Directed Research2: Bio-Coal Production from Pine Needles                                                                                          Extensively researched and conducted supply chain, value chain analysis of agricultural-produce, identified and proposed potential technological interventions which resulted in annual income increment of 320% per household. Developed and proposed four Business plan models for bio-coal production and marketing and conducted intensive Techno-economic, SWOT and sensitivity analysis of the models. Designed, Fabricated and tested decentralized torrefaction processing unit and achieved a 20% coal conversion rate.

  3. CSR report analysis of Coal of India Limited and Power Grid Corporation of India                                                                                                                                                      Evaluated the compliance of CSR expenditure to Company Act 2013 through data analysis and data visualization. Sectorial analysis, performance analysis and data comparison was done for the  two companies.

  4. System dynamics in solid waste management                                                                                  

    Analysed factors affecting Solid Waste Management (SWM) by means of Vensim software and formed a system of equations to statistically extrapolate results associated with SWM.

  5. Project Management and Analysis for virtual consultancy project for Soil Mapping Program

Analysis of LULC change and rainfall patterns of Chhattisgarh state (2000-01and 2013-14)                                                                                                                                                Performed proximity analysis by creating vector layer of district-level forest survey data in ArcGIS software. Estimated district wise net change in rainfall pattern, forest cover, cultivable land, and net sown area.

  7. Data Analysis of National Family Health Survey-4 Data of Bihar State                                                                                                                                                                            Mapped and identified best performing and worst performing districts with respect to stunting, wasting and underweight using QGIS. Performed Tukey, Fischer, Bonferroni tests on NFHS-4 data with 25+ features using STATA and MINITAB to compare the variations in wasting, stunting, anaemia condition in Bihar with neighbouring states.     

  8. Biomass Supply Chain and Infrastructure for Bio-fuel Production in India                                                                                                                                                                     Zonal analysis of Biomass Surplus data in 4 states of India and GIS mapping of possible sites for setup of biofuel plant in Maharashtra and Techno-economic Analysis of Biomass supply chain.
